Default weird transmission issue

i am having a weird issue here. i will start off with all i know about the truck. i bought it about 2 years ago. it had a BD turbo on it, and aftermarket exhaust manifold, and turbo back exhaust. in october i was on my way home from final camping trip for the year pulling steep hill with an 8,000 lb fifth wheel camper. 3/4 of the way up the hill i heard a pop and lost power. then a second pop and then came the huge cloud of smoke. so i pulled over and got my father in law to tow camper home and my dad to come with trailer for truck. found out first pop was intercooler broke then second pop was when the turbo shaft broke and sent the fins down the exhaust pipe. i just last week got all the parts around and enough time off work to get it going. i installed an aurora 3000 and banks technicooler. now the weird part. keep in mind it sat for 4-1/2 months. when i first started it the CEL was on (p0113, p0108, p0107, p0073, p0868 all say current fault then p0236 says pending fault) when i drive it reverse is completely normal, in neutral trucks rolls free, so i don't have a brake hanging up. when i put it in drive and take foot off brake on level ground truck starts to roll but if i step on go pedal it feels like i'm latched into a 20,000 lb traileri drove it about 3 miles. it shifts fine just feels like it's being held back. it runs about 36 psi of boost WOT but i didn't do that long in case there's something majorly wrong. part that puzzles me is i have a steep driveway, if i am facing uphill and put truck in neutral and let it roll backwards slowly and drop in drive with no throttle it will slide the rear tires. i only tried this because i stopped on the hill and when i took my foot off the brake truck didn't try to roll backwards like normal. the only way i can get up my driveway without a running start is in low range. sorry so long a story but thanks for any help you can give me. oh, forgot to mention it's an 05 2500 ctd

First clean all your battery connections. Then clear all the codes and see what comes back. Tranny issue possibly have to take it in for testing pressure checks and such any tranny shop will do. Do you have a rail pressure gauge? Stupid question but did you check your trans oil level?

thanks for the response. i did check fluid level. just for the heck of it i jumped in the truck today to try again. that problem is gone. takes off like normal. now it won't shift out of first gear. should i try the governor solenoid and pressure sensor? sorry if these questions are dumb i'm not good with all this electronic crap. i'm starting to wish i kept my 98 12 valve with a 5 speed. i will go clean battery terminals shortly and clear codes and see what happens.

While youre at it, clean your negative (ground) contacts ie: Batt cables to the engine, other ground wires (ground straps) to the body & frame. There are several in the engine bay. A bad ground will raise havoc and make you pull your hair out. A govenor solenoid and pressure sensor wont hurt, as it was likely never done. AND, (cant believe I started a sentence with a conjunction) just for piece of mind, clean the connector contacts to your CP3 pump.

ok, all codes gone except now p0236 is now a current fault. the scanner i have just runs through bluetooth on my phone to this part i plug into odbii connector or vehicle. i can look at some stuff on there. it shows my boost at 15.1 psi all the time. even at an idle. i'm thinking i need a new map sensor. truck still won't shift out of first gear unless i run it up to about 3300 rpm and let off then it will shift to 2nd. it goes into 3rd not long after it shifts to 2nd. i ordered a governor solenoid and pressure sensor. also ordered the IAT sensor. guess i will order the map sensor too.
