Default diesel noob

Looking to buy my first diesel the one I've got my eye on is a 2009 Chevy 2500 ltz. It looks to have an aftermarket exhaust possible dpf delete. Not sure how all that affects emissions. Just trying to get any and all info I can get on these. I'm diesel dumb so please be gentle but informative. thanks guys

If you delete the emissions on a truck that came from the factory with emissions will have a hard time passing if needed to be tested or smog. I would recommend looking in your area if are required to have the truck tested or not.
