Lmm Reduced power mode
I have recently done egr and dpf deletes on my lmm. The truck was tuned with efi live 5 pin DSP. After running the truck for a week it has decided to stay in reduced power mode with no codes. I've replaced the MAF sencer with no luck. Any one be able to tell me if they have experienced these problems?
I'VE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH MY '09. INFACT ITS IN THE DEALERSHIP'S SHOP RIGHT NOW .....AGAIN. ALREADY HAVE THROWN $2500 DOWN TO REPLACE EGR AND MAF SENSOR. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED THE TECS AT GM AND THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM AND CERTAINLY DON'T HAVE A SOLUTION. I LOVE THE TRUCK , BUT WHEN I GET THE "REDUCED POWER " MESSAGE AND HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO THROTTLE REPONSE ON THE FREEWAY , IT CAN GET REAL SCAREY . HOPE SOMEONE ON THE FORUM CAN HELP OR HAS SOME IDEA OF WHATS GOING ON. THX.
It is all going to depend on what the codes are that are being thrown when the truck is going into a reduce power mode. If we can get that info it will help diagnose what the issue is, instead of throwing parts at the truck with a hefty price tag from the dealer
LMMs are sensitive about changes made to the EGR in tuning. And go into reduced power mode quite willingly if done wrong. Check the tune or have your tuner check the EGR paramators in the tune.
