Might want to do another test first, does the instrument cluster die at the same time the truck stalls?
If so the ignition switch might be the culprit.

Does it start up again quickly or do you have to wait a long time before a restart and find that it runs for a shorter amount of time before it stalls again?

If it does need a pmd there are several options now, most economical is this FYI:
Amazon.com: Dorman 904-104 Fuel Pump Driver Module: Automotive Amazon.com: Dorman 904-104 Fuel Pump Driver Module: Automotive

Note what customers bought together below the item and if needed buy the whole kit.

Leroy Diesel and angelofishes on ebay are also good vendors for pmd's,or buy from a site sponsor here.

the cluster stays on and most of the time it will start up quickly sometimes I will have to crank for a while before it starts. when I first started having the problem I could drive all day and it would only die on me once or twice now it dies all the time and sometimes after it starts the wait to start light will blink a couple times I used a code reader and this is what it said p1216 fuel solenoid response time to short

Start using ash less 2stroke oil in the fuel this may stop the p1216 code and ad to the life of the IP.

The 1 on the IP will be what gm was using.

What you want is to relocate the new PMD outside the engine bay so it does not see wild temp swings.

This requires a 6' pmd extension harness and a heatsink and resistor.
