What wax to use on fuel tank & where to get fuel level sensor
For fun and games I pulled my fuel sending unit FSU. First off I discovered a layer of was (i am assuming) coated the FSU seal. I am planning on using Johnson paste wax to reseal the FSU. Any better ideas?
Second the fuel level sensor is not providing reliable readings. I have looked for a replacement but have not found one so far. Can any one point me in the right direction?

So Leroy still has a few metrum fuel rods. But he wants $145.00
! I can buy a whole new FSU for that price. Well actually its more like $200 for a new FSU.
Any other leads would be appreciated.

The stock style sending units are notorious for inaccurate gauges-thats why the metrum fuel rod was created-regain an accurate gauge under all conditions.
