im looking at buying a bronco and later on converting it too diesel what motor would you suggest im not too concerned about doing metal fab im fine with doing some modifications as long as i know the motor will fit?

i dont want too do a 4BT Cummins

a 7.3 IDI will fit as long as its the full size Bronco ... bit a 4bt wil be better power, reliablity, and easier to work with as IDI parts are a bit difficult to come bye at times ..

 

A cummins swap would require some metal fab to work. A power stroke swap will mostly just require parts swapping as you would need the drivetrain, motor mount pedestals, core support, entire gauge cluster, wiring and the gas pedal(drive by wire) to swap into the bronco.

 

a PSD would be a real PITA ... wiring and such .. as the 4bt is mechanically injected, per the PSD is electronic ...

 

However it's pretty difficult to get a solid 4bt for under $5000
