Default New Guy From New Mexico

Good Afternoon All,

I just picked up a 2003 Duramax yesterday and well here I am today.

I've been into diesels for a while and had my 7.3 powerstroke for about 10 years, but being that by the time I had disposable income to throw at it, it was on it's last leg (or so I thought) so I just kept trucking along for 4 years until I was pretty sure it was no longer reasonable to keep pushing it.

I've always been a Chevy guy and although the 7.3 was a good price and was a pretty darn good truck, I wanted a Duramax.

Well came across an ad 2 days ago for an 03 Duramax, with replaced injectors, new transfer case, new front hubs, new water pump and 129K miles. Well even though it was an LB7, I couldn't pass on the price and the fact that it was stock with all the service records, so I brought the new baby home.

And for all the Ford guys out there, don't worry, I won't send old betsy to the scrap yard, I plan on finding a pulled motor to rebuild with a few extra goodies, swap it out and run her for another 300k miles.
