So here I am again, My 95 6.5td runs awesome, but if I take off too quick (too hard on the peddle) it gets stuck in safety mode aka 2nd gear. I have a high ratio code but no clue how to fix it. Any ideas? thanks

 

Check out the speed sensors if it's a 4x4-there are 2 in the end of the trans and may not both be good?

 

It is 4x4, I crawled underneath and found that there is an extra sensor in the trans itself with no wires to be found to plug in to it, it is the second sensor on the side of the housing, the one in front of it is plugged in, and both sensors on the t-case are plugged in. Am I missing some wires or is this sensor replaced by the rear sensor on the t-case?
BTW it is a 4L80E w/ 17 bolt pan. Thanks again.
