Default 1996 International 4700 with 7.3 T444e

Installed two new batteries, engine will not crank. Gauges sweep, buzzer buzzes with key OFF. Positive cable to started solenoid. Negative cable to grounded battery box and front of starter. Probed solenoid, voltage there, did not jump solenoid. What have I done wrong? Any ideas and a starter circuit diagram. Thanks. An understatement to be sure. LOL.

Does the starter solenoid click at all? That is the first thing I check. If it does not, use a remote start switch on it to see if it does physically work. I've installed 2 in 2 of my trucks in the last 6 months. Both went bad from both sitting idle(?) Is also the same relay as the GPR.

If it does, but still nothing while using the ignition switch, check the fusible links at that same solenoid and the maxi-fuses in the aux power box. There are 3 maxi-fuses that supply power to the ignition switch.

If it does with the switch, but nothing from the starter, check the voltage from the Starter solenoid to the starter when activated. If none, replace that solenoid. If there is, pull the starter and have it tested. When I replace mine or a friend's, I buy lifetime warrantied starters. As long as these run, that is a long lifetime.

Electronic Engine Control fuse blows when key is turned to start positiion.Using a remote starter button as suggested, I can jump starter with key in #1 position and engine cranks and runs. Engine warning lite comes on after 10-15 mins. Any ideas?

Sounds like the fuel bowl heater is shorted out. You can just unplug it

Hi JoeBob- Thanks for your reply. I do not see an electrical connection at the fuel bowl.
