Ok so my 1996 12v has 96k on it. I had my head gasket leaking externally amd oil in my coolant. I been experiencing alot of blow by at high rpms, really high egts, bad fuel mileage, and power lag. When I put my.boat on back it blows alot of smoke and doesnt want to go anywhere. I pulled my head and cylinders and pistons are great looking. Kinda leaning toward a turbo but it spools and produces good boost. What does everyone think?

 

you said you had oil in your coolant, that sounds like your oil cooler went out.
Plus it sounds like your head gasket is bad.

 

Your gonna wanna clean the whole engine out ....


Coolant eats the Bearings in the bottom end, can cause pitting on the crankshaft, your going to need to clean it out fast before the damage is done and cost's you a ton more ....
