Hi all,

I currently drive a 1999 2500 and she's a little rusty but still got lots of life.

I've got an opportunity to buy a 2008 3500 short box, crew cab 6speed with the 6.7.

Can anyone give me any input into the 2008's?

has the dpf and egr been deleted? does it still have the stock dual mass clutch?

when the cat and dpf and egr deleted, they are a great truck. the stock dual mass flywheel doesnt like any extra hp over stock. with everything deleted, and tuner set to stock power, it is usually to much for the stock dual mass flywheel to hold.

If they DPF isn't deleted then look at spending at least $1200+

The truck is bone stock but I had plans to make a few changes and install a Southbend Clutch and an exhaust brake.

 

the 08 6.7 uses the factory turbo for an exhaust brake and is pretty effective. a southbend or valair clutch is deff a needed for any 6 speed dodge imo.

 

Ok, right on, I don't really know much about that motor.
