Is it a 4x4 and are the differentials Danas? Also are you thinking of doing this to improve fuel mileage?

3:55 = Good for driving on the interstate, and cruising around.

4:10 = Good for towing/pulling heavy loads.

Which one do you do most?

As far as the switch goes, 3.55 is almost like driving a different truck, you would suffer a little bit if you lived in mountainous areas like I do, but not to bad. Usually people who get 11-13 mpg switch from 4.10 to 3.55 and see 17-19 mpg on these bad boys. They say towing will suffer as well, but I don't think so. I'm looking to do this swap as well. Be sure to do a write-up as you go!
