Have you checked the external throttle linkage and cable? Are you located in a cold climate currently?

What rpm are you at when it does this and when is the last time you changed your fuel filter?

I would make sure that the linkage is getting the full throttle ... you may end up needing a new cable ... but verify that you able to get WOT first .... have someone in truck push slowly to floor ... look for jaming or obstructions ... If you see none ... buy new cable and should eb good to go .

they usually come apart inside the cable sheeth ...

If it still has stock governor springs at 2000 rpm I wouldn't think it would have a lot left to give and that might be why it feels like it is bogging down maybe someone else will have a different opinion

Just got done having this same EXACT problem, fuel filter was the culprit, but could also be low fuel pressure to the injection pump
