ok so I bought an 89 ford f250 with the 7.3 idi. iv been driving it for two months with no problems. its started in -15 not puged in and started no problem. I put an electric lift pump in witched helped and turned the pump up. I went outside to start in in the morning and nothing. the glow plugs are working and with the pump on I have fuel at the filter. I craked the lines at the injectors and when I turn it over no fuel comes out,
any ideas ?

what will that do ? the guy befpre me turned it up and there hasent been any problems since then. i also will not the day before this started the engine was warm and i went to start it and it was a rouph start.

 

ok so it was turned up a while before this happened? if so probably a bad pump on that. they wear out and they're old trucks.

 

sounds like the head of the pump is shot, had to purchase a new pump for my truck, starts up like a champ now, But have to pull it out at the lines are not sealed properly

 

What kind of lift pump did you install? If it's pushing to much pressure, it will damage the injection pump.
