Im looking at buying my first cummins. It has always been treated good had regular oil changes and the whole 9 yards. It is drivin by a old guy 60s and its got 220,000 miles and its orig one owner so i know it hasnt been beat on. he used it for hauling hay up to 2003 and now it just sits around as a plow truck. If i get it im lookin at grinding the fuel plate to a #0 putting all the boost rgt and trans temp gauges the 4 or 5" straight pipe. and a cold air intake. If i do all that how much HP gain can i get. PLEASE HELP!!

 

I don't know much about these trucks but here are some things you need to look out for

1. A truck used for pulling and plowing might have drivetrain problems
2. Grinding down the fuel plate that much might gain you a small amount of horsepower but your going to blow more smoke than anything
