Just got the new injectors for the 1990 7.3 and while removing the last one on #7 it was extremely hard to loosen, busted out the breaker bar and would still barely move so I added 2 feet and got it lose. Only to find out once I get 3 threads out that it now just spins in its bore and won't come out. How can I pull it without removing the head

 

You might be able to unscrew the top of the injector out. But I think your gonna still have to take the head off cause the threads inside are messed up and you don't want to be trying to tap them back out or anything with it on and metal falling down into the precombustion chamber.

 

I was able to salvage it, applied a lot of upward pressure while unscrewing and it came out, Was covered in diesel even those it hasn't been used in months? feel like there was no seal
