Would like to know the steps to making a powerstroke run better
Hi guys im new here an been reading some threads but i just need to know the "steps" by step to make a stock 1997 f350 crewcab 7.3 5speed 4x4 single wheel have abit more power. I understand its not a hotrod, its just a good ole work truck with much more potential for power than stock. So far i have cold air intake an 5in stacks, working next on downpipe. Thank you for your time.

So i dont need bigger injectors an fuel rails ect?...a chip an down pipe with cold air and open exhaust would roughly add about how much hp without chip?...and how much with chip would be nice to kno with the ft torque would be nice to kno also..
powerstrokes dont have fuel rails. without the chip your maybe at 180-200hp and with the chip mayne 215-230ish. it all depends on what you want to do but a set of stage 1s really wake the engine up and would put you about 300-350.
you dont need injectors, its all up to you and how much power you want.
they dont make a 4in downpipe for this year of powerstroke, they are 3"
EGT= exhaust gas temperature also called a pyrometer

no you have to put gauges in it to monitor temps once you start adding more power. they just never came with one from the factory. you can add one if you want to but it shouldnt be needed.
