Looking to see what would be the cheapest route to get a diesel motor/transmission? I'm not looking for a crazy amount of power, just something that can soot, sounds great, has a little pick up and go. Will be going in a 67 International Harvester 1300 dually.

 

I think your best bet being from Connecticut is to find a Rusted Out Dodge with a 12 Valve Cummins with a 5 Speed and then go from there.

Problem with that is they're so overpriced due to their demand, up here people have complete and utter rust buckets, and I mean beyond trashed frame rust and they want upwards of 4k with well into 150k. I'll check out the 4btswaps site, I would love to get 94.5 7.3 IDI Turbo Diesel with a ZF5 transmission behind it, but those are a hard to come by.
