ATTN Strange ticking noise on my 6.7

Hey guys, my truck Is making this ticking noise that kind of sounds like bacon frying, you used to only be able to hear it when you turn and the windows are up, now you can here it when you are just driving. The truck is stock and runs fine. I took it to ford, they said dirty injectors, I put injector cleaner in the tank, ran it dry but still there's That ticking, it happens when the trucks warmed up to. Any thoughts please help
Jeff

Was asking since it might of been the ticking noise that happens after oil changes and goes away after some time. Last 6.7l that I had with a ticking noise needed an engine, they are common for glow plug tips breaking off in cylinder. Its not under warranty?

Yeah it's under warranty. I don't think it's that though

2013 F250 6.7. I noticed that too, when my truck is warmed up. At first I thought it was expanding and contracting metal. Sounded like maybe loose heat shield? I took it to the dealer to have them look at that and a highway speed shimmy.

Unfortunately, they told me everything is fine. It's normal.

Still under warranty to I guess I'll put up with it for now.

We had a customer with a new 6.7 with 14000 km. driver complained for a couple months finally one day while idling on the job site the rod came through the bottom. Be carefully. Take it to the dealer so it is documented and keep up on oil changes.

I also think that this may have to do with oil changes, but cannot be too sure unless I listen to the ticking sound that you are describing. Your best choice is to take it to another repair shop or to someone who knows about these engines.

Look up type writer tick, ford "says" it's normal and there's no fix and not to fix it. Apparently some guy http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/gen...ypewriter.html

Put 5-40 valvoline oil true blue and it stopped. Others the noise got quieter. I have the same ticking gonna give it a shot next oil change
