Default 97 7.3 powerstroke no power

I have a 97 f350 with the 7.3 power stroke. I let out on the clutch and it Loses power. We replaced valve cover gasket and bare wires on drivers side. Tried unplugging injectors but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Turbo builds pressure and turns easily. Any help or ideas will be appreciated.

A common problem with these era of trucks is the dual mass flywheel failing and giving the illusion of lost power. Pull down your inspection cover and see if your flywheel is damaged in the center. You may have to separate the engine from the transmission.

If the motor is running fine when its not in gear but losses power when put in gear it certainly sounds like a tranny issue. Thor is right that flywheel was an issue back in the day and Im with him on the solution.
