i got a 94 7.3L IDI w/turbo, and i was wondering what i need to make it stock again. i want to take the turbo off and sell it, but i need to know what parts i need to buy to replace it with. so can anyone help with this?

Why do you want to remove the turbo?

 

Because the turbo on it works, but with the way its setup its not really putting anything out any more Hp!!

 

well anything over 8 psi is gonna cause longivity issues due to the naturally high compression ratio ...... can run higher and some have .... but not for 500K like stock could.....

u can swap back to naturally asperated .... go to junk yard and get ur parts & take notes on how its set up W/out turbo ..... should be really simple to convert.... note: use big airfilters and large exhaust on these engines ... they love to briven hard all day... power normally comes in around 2-2500 rpm's .... i run mine to govenor all the time

 

Mine only shows 4 lbs of boost...what gives ?
