Hey guys I was wondering what y'all's thoughts or experience was on runnin this turbo on my2002? I understand that there are better turbos out there but I threw a rod in my 06 at work and the turbo off of it is free so... My 02 has 150hp injectors, edge comp, and a banks high ram and its a 5spd. I'm simply looking for a cheap upgrade cause I just bought a new house for my growing family and I'm strapped for cash but need more air

 

it will be very crispy very similiar to the hx35 you probably have on there now. it has a 4mm larger compressor wheel and a 2mm bigger turbine wheel. however it has a very small 9cm housing which makes it a fun turbo for a near stock truck but a not so good one with one that has lots-O-fuel. better than an hx35... yes in my opinion.

 

Well the way I figure it it was on a chipped out 06 that already comes from the factory with more power than my 02 and it did great pullin so I figure it will do way better than the hx35 since its just a street truck, if I need to pull something I just use a company truck

 

I just put one on mine and love it. Towed my small trailer at 6500# great. Have yet to test with the big trailer at 12000#. I'm a little worried about EGT's at 2500 RPM on a steep hill in AZ summer heat. So far love it with my mods.

Also, ran the Edge on level 5x5 when I towed the little trailer up 4 6% grades with ease.
