My key in my 2011 truck stopped working so I used my wifes key and it workes. I called the dealer and he told me I need a new battery and the truck needs reflashed to work the new key with a battery. I have a smarty installed and can not be flashed. Do they need to reflash the truck to get the key to work? Why not just replace the battery in the key? Anyone out there replaced there battety?

 

i'd just replace the battery and see if it works.
