Default Draining the Fuel/Water Seperator Question

I went out today to do my monthly drain on the Fuel/Water separator and only got drips. I am suspecting that the cell is probably clogged. Is there anything I can do to clean it out other than take it off? Thanx Y'all

When i had that problem, i stuck a paper clip & try to clean the clog, didn't work for me, I end up taking the fuel filter out & cleaning the FUEL/WATER separator out

That's what I figured....I tried the same thing with no avail. I heard that you could spray brake cleaner up the drain and the stuff that's clogging it up will come out.....never tried it, but don't know if I really want to.

Thanx

Alright so I finally had a chance today to change the fuel filters, did an oil change, even took off the water separator cleaned it all out ( it was completely gunked up) put it all back together and truck ran fine for a few. Received a "Drain moisture separator" message, so I did and message did not clear, is there something special that I have to do to get the message to erase?

Default Figuring bad WIF sensor

After getting the "Drain Water" Message even though there is no water in the fuel I decided to unplug the WIF Sensor. Tired of truck going into "Limp Mode". Still have a warranty on it. Figured I could drive like this for a while as long as I check the fuel. Sensor is about 30 bucks, and seems pretty easy to replace.

Could you just crack the drain with it running? Just a thought.

Default WIF SENSOR still unplugged

WIF SENSOR still unplugged and truck is running great. Just check the fuel every other day ( probably excessive) If I leave it unplugged will it cause any damage? Don't have the money right now for a programmer. Will probably modify in a couple of months. I have been using a fuel additive lately that has seemed to make a big improvement in mpg and power.
