Horrible turbo lag
I have a 2011 6.7 I bought about a month ago. Has 30k miles. A week of owning it I did a dpf delete, egr delete, intake and h&s tuner. Seems like it takes about 3 seconds to get it spooled up to go anywhere. I drove my boss's 2013' f250 today and it's all stock amd man it spools almost instantly. Mine being tuned I would think it should be that good or better. I've tried all three power settings and even changed the low boost fueling and no change. Once it spools it runs good. Just takes a good 3 seconds to spool. I can't even pull out in traffic with out sitting there blowing smoke until it spools. I know it can't be right... also, the engine has a sticker on the drivers side that says chassis? I don't think it's possible mine has a cab chassis engine which I've heard have different turbos and have bad lag...?
Hey Built54, we just got a 2012 6.7, it's got 800 miles on it. My truck is identical as far as spool up time. The other 3 that we have are right around 7000 to 12000 miles, same exact thing. Sounds stock to me. All 4 are Cab/chassis, so I'm just chiming in that it's seemingly normal. I don't like it either, but these things can sure plow and haul like no one elses business. Proud to have 3 450's and 1 350 as part of my fleet
