Default Standalone shutoff solenoid for swap?

Im researching my options for shutting off my motor in my repower. Ive got an OM617 (maxd stock pump, HX25 w/ external waste gate) going into my 94 trooper with a toyota drivetrain behind it using a 4x4labs adapter kit. In the process of the swap Ive deleted the factory vacuum pump which originally actuated the kill valve on the back of the IP. I happen to be missing this piece from my second hand motor anyway FYI.

I want to keep it simple and run an external 12v solenoid valve post filter to cut the fuel to the pump. Everything Im finding on ebay is cheap chinese stuff for a standalone with fittings on either end. Obviously its got to be of good quality because its going to have 12v and be engaged all the time during running. Does anyone have a source for a quality valve?

I found one valve on ebay from a 5 ton cummins powered truck but Im currently waiting for some fitting size questions I had to be answered.

Also I had a question about shutting off a diesel versus the air lock they can get thats confusing me. This is my first diesel. Ive had lots of projects, build plenty of trucks and cars but my first time venturing into the diesel world and Im learning as I go along. If you stop a diesel by cutting the fuel supply wouldnt that air lock the injector pump, injector lines, and injectors? Is it an unavoidable evil on a mechanical diesel? Or is it simply getting the fuel filter(s) to bleed back out thats the pain in the *** when you run a vehicle out of fuel?

thats not a good idea, the engine would slowly sputter to a stop and cavitate the pump, starving an engine for fuel to shut it off isnt good, use the emergency stop linkage and a cable.
