Default Should I buy a 1985 f250 6.9

Just joined forum today... so please bear with me

There is a guy i know who wants to sell his 6.9 f250. the motor was recently rebuilt just because... (has about 40,000 mile on new motor) all of his trucks are in amazing shape so i know he takes good care of them. the body is rusty around the doors, but i can always swap them out. It has a brand new aluminum flatbed with removable sides, he just put a snow plow kit on it, i think it has a 4 speed manual tranny. Asking $5,000.00 for it. Good buy? Or should I stay away?

Engines are reliable as they get...not a lot of power but truck has to be near mint to get 5gs for it....I think that's a little pricy

For that price the body would need to be in much better shape. If he just added the plow, that's probably the reason for the high price.

The idi's are a great reliable truck, but for 5,000 I think itsd quite steep.
