I have a 96 12v and I just installed a fuel pressure gauge. What is it supposed to be reading I'm getting 45-48 psi at idle and under load the lowest it dropped was about 22-25 psi. I also have a stock lift pump. Is this right??

 

That sounds pretty high for a stock lift pump ... with a stock overflow your suposed to see a max of 25-30 at 2500rpm at a free rev. if the pressure you say you have is right I would leave it alone nothing wrong with running that much fuel press assuming there is still fuel returning to the tank.
