Prius owner soon to be bomber says hi!
Howdy everyone,
When I heard that AM General were releasing the Humvee C-Series I jumped with joy - it's as if my prayers were finally answered; when the Hummer H1 Alpha was discontinued, I was still in school. But when I heard that they were releasing kits, I knew just what I wanted to do. So I figured I'd come on down to find out what would be the best choice for a powerplant. I'm torn between a Cummins QSB 6.7 and a Duramax LML with full EGR, DEF and DPF deletion and Allison Transmission, both of them sound like great engines and I'd love to hear more about them both!
Please don't be put off by my little Toyota Prius, which I've affectionately decided to give the nickname of "Black Cloud;" it's something of a dream of mine to engineswap it with a Cummins 4BT with an NV4500 transmission, using the body of the Prius as a donor body for a bobbed Jeep Wrangler frame, to make it live up to its namesake.
I work as a Mechanical Designer by day and hopefully going to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering sometime soon. In the meantime though, I'm going to work on getting that badass truck!
