Small line going into my intake tube?
Hey guys i was looking at my stock intake and i noticed that there is a small hose going into it right in front of the turbo and goes up to the top of the motor like into the valve cover? Can anyone tell me what that is for and if its not something i need how is the best way to get rid of it? And i found that if you take that stock tube apart there is a big plastic piece in it that pulls out and gives me a small amount of turbo noise!
That is the line for the closed crank case filter system.
I plugged the nipple in the intake, and vented my ccv to atmosphere.
Some guys plug the intake end, and put a 90 elbow hose on the cover with a small K&N style filter.
These mods keep the oil out of your turbo

So its a good thing to do that? So i can just cut it and plug the hole in the intake tube and then put a small filter in the line that went down to the intake? Sorry this truck is different than my 06 5.9 im still learning.
Yup. Glacier sells a kit, but you could make it yourself with pstuff from summit, napa, ect.
