Here's my dilemma, 5.9 or 6.7. I've spent weeks trying to find "the" truck. Its gotta be manual, quad cab, charcoal or black and 4x4. I am sure about all that. What I am not sure about is whether or not I want to stay 5.9 and bypass that new emissions BS, or bite it and go 6.7. I am aware of serious soot issues with the regen and recirc and would almost certainly do the deletes. My problem there? Our friendly leaders on the top of this ladder of life deem removal of these components a federal offense punishable by demanding a good chunk of money in fines I don't feel like forking over. At least in NC, it was safety only but I am not sure whether or not that's changing. So, who's willing to share their opinions on the following...?
1) 5.9 or 6.7?
2) Deletes easy to mask in NC for inspections?
3) Who framed Roger Rabbit?

Get a 5.9, 03-05, that way you can get the VGT off a 6.7 and run it. Doing deletes now is going to be real expensive on account H&S, and other companies were forced to shut off production due to the EPA. Can still get kits, but like I mentioned, $$$$$$$. It was Judge Doom.

I heard about that. I was looking at an 06 in VA, it was everything I wanted. I was in the middle of the transaction from here in NC over the phone, gave the guy my credit card info to put a down payment to hold, gave him my bank info and contact with pre approval auth number and he called me back 10 minutes later and said some guy just dropped 12k on his desk and he's going to sell it to him. Pissed me off. I'm talking red eared pissed. And it goes without saying that every single 5.9 manual on cars.com and autotrader that were remotely close to what I wanted sold in the time period it took for me to initiate the sale and the let down. here I sit.

And yes, it was Judge Doom hahaha
