After searching the internet for Cummins APPS/TPS I noticed the lower cost AAPS (Shanghai Volboff throttle position sensors) are of contact design and are jury rigged with an adapter harness by the ebay sellers. These will get you by in the short run, however a non contact unit will last a lifetime. I attached a link to a youtube video explaining how the non contact unit works.
