i want to put an NP271 behind the G56 I just swapped into my 42/97 project truck. Much rather that, than the 241dld that was behind the auto.
The only used 271 I can find local is electric shift. Does anyone know if this can be readily converted to manual? What would it entail? Are any pics of the shift internals available?
Tried many permutations of search terms without much gained. It appears possible, but no clear information.
I'd rather not get involved in changing input shafts to use a 241 if I can avoid it.
Any help is appreciated.
