Default New to Diesel... Need some suggestions.

Howdy from the great white north.

Picked up a 02 GMC 3500 LB7 last year, just had a diesel shop replace the stock injectors for me(fuel in oil), I changed out the return lines to the cooler in the summer. I have a Cold air intake with K&N and Superchip Flashpaq, that is all. Truck has 300k on it and no clue what was or wasn't done before I bought it.

I am towing a 8000lbs trailer, a 4000lbs truck camper, gear. Last time I went through the scales I was just shy of 21000 lbs fully equipped for a weekend of fun. Driving conditions are long hauls on asphalt and then slow logging roads to the camp sites.

I have around 2 gs to spend on performance upgrades and was wondering what people would recommend. I would like to have a more "off the line" power(when towing it seems sluggish) and fuel economy.

Also are the Air Separator systems worth the money?

Their are sooooooooo many different styles of exhaust. I would like to purchase MBRP
Turbo back, turbo back duals, Cat back, front pipe?, Exhaust manifold??, Down pipe back?, "off-road exhaust"

I am very happy with my MBRP. Would like to get the down pipe done but have not yet. It is very loud outside the truck but not to bad inside. No drone luckily. But if you would like it toned down a little get it with the muffler as I did not.

a cheap but small upgrade that could make a hidden difference is a ppe bost valve.takes 5 mins to install and is only 27.00

I would do a dp back exhaust 4" or 5". Maybe some air bags for the weight/ new shocks. You can look into a new tuner, ppe or efi would be my choices.

Default 2004 duramax lb7

I'm looking at buying a 2004 lb7 4x4 3500 with 260000 miles on it for $6000 dollars is this a good deal? Should I be scared of the miles?
