Default Suspension question

OK I have a quick question that I know someone can answer. I am having a unusuall wear pattern on the outer edges of both of my front tires. the passenger tire is a little more worn than the drivers. The truck pulls slightly to the passenger side if in the slow lane when I'm in the fast lane it does not pull even half as much. When I hit the brakes the truck does not pull hard to ether side it stays straight and true. I know that on most cars and trucks if the alignment is out and you hit the brakes you'll pull extremely hard. My question could the passenger tire being worn more than the drivers cause this problem. The shop wants $25 just to put it on the rack to get a estimate because its a 1 ton. Thanks for the advice. I know it could be hard to answer but appreciate any help that you can give. Also what would be a safe load limit for a jack and stands to support the front of a f350 dually w a 7.3 and a automatic transmition also. in case I want to switch the front tires around..

i know the feeling of not wanting to pay money for an estimate but its only 25 bucks. without looking at the pickup my guess would be the ball joints. also safe load limit would be 2000lbs +
