Default New to duramax

Hey there! I just got my first duramax. It's a 2003 2500hd. It's got 164,000 miles on it. Now I've heard about the injector issues with these trucks. The truck smokes greyish white smoke when you first start driving but it stops after a bit of driving. Could this be the start of injector issues?

It's hard to tell until you see it smoking a good amount of black smoke at high rpm with it being stock. That's when you'll notice they might go

Ok and if I changed the injectors could I get away with just changing the nozzles? Or do I have to do the whole injector? Sorry for all the questions

Are you doing the work yourself ?? Remember the injectors are not topside. You will spend a ton of time just getting to them. I'd replace the whole injector, either refurb Bosch's or new OEM Bosch's.. depending on cash at hand.

The internals of the injectors is what gets worn.
