Default 12 Build

Ok I'm looking at getting a 97 ctd w/ auto. The tranny has a fresh rebuild so I don't see the need for a converter and valvebody for a little while.

NOW here is what i'm thinking for mods, let me know what ya think!

AFE stage 1? or BHAF?
5"straight (until I can afford stacks)
Muddy's "#104" Custom Plate
Afc spring kit
3k gsk or should I go 4kgsk with 60# springs?
191 DV's
I really like the price of 370 marines but efficency?
What do you think about some New Era 370, or 435's? or maybe ddp stage 3s or 4's or a set of dragon flows from II
For turbo I'm thinking either a sps62 or a ps62 or 64.
arp head studs
not sure what timing yet
lots of tuning
and an o-ringed head in the future

whew that was a long breath. It's also going to get the kdp treatment. Am I missing something? Where do you think I'll be at power wise.

TIA Jake

Even with the fresh rebuild I think you'll burn the TC up if it's only a stock replacement. just my opinion.

Where do you want to be horsepower wise?

Is this just a DD or are you pulling and/or racing it?

From what I've read about the the 370s you get what you pay for. Personally if you're doing all that other stuff I'd spend the extra money and get a good set of injectors that are designed to work how you want them to.

I think a BHAF will probably support your power level myself. Maybe get a good free flowing one like an Amsoil.

Well I have a buddy that has the 370's and even with a hybrid 60/14 his temps weren't bad. He said he was pretty impressed with them and he hasn't had problems, so I might try them, and if they don't work I'll but new ones in the future. He claimed they gave him about 75hp with those alone first before he upgraded his charger to the 60/14.

I think I'm going to order a triple disk converter from goerend aswell as a valve body for that trans here soon.

It's definatly not a plan set in stone by any means yet...
