I've been skimming this site for a couple years now, seems to be allot of info on here so i figured i would finally join here to get my truck to the performance i want and be able to be around abunch of diesel guys! My truck is a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500, SLT Laramie, Cummins. came as an auto with a 241 DLD behind it, but after i had some issues with the tranny, transfer case, and rear axle, i fixed some problems. I now have a nv5600 mated to a np271, and a detroit locker out back. I turn all my own wrenches and am quite capable, but still somewhat new to the diesel side of things. I've had a couple 6.5s in the past, was never really impressed. but i couldn't say no to a cummins. Bought this truck last may or so, I do have a tendency to heavily modify anything i own, and this truck is no different. Most everything done so far has been appearance, and audio. haven't touched into the performance side of things much due to my lack of knowledge on just what i really should be doing. so i've been skimming articles, and reading threads while upgrading non performance things with my truck as i learn more and more. Finally getting to the point where i want to get some power into my trucks step, so i figure i should join up here and go from there. hoping to be pushing in the area of 500 hp by summer, but we will see how my bills line up for that. . here is a list and a pic of my truck and whats done already, whats sitting on my counter waiting to be done, and my definite plans for the near future.....
