I have a 2007 tahoe and will buy a 2014 tahoe when they go out.
So i will have the 2007 to do experiments
Does someone transplant a diesel powerplant in a 2007 and younger tahoe?
I believe that the duramax is too heavy to be put there, but i am wondering if the 4.5 International would fit there
If you did it, Which motor and trans did you use?
Did you have to modify the front suspension?

Interesting. Is it going to be a daily driver, off-roader, or what? I've seen plenty of people take older vehicles and swap in Cummins engines (I may or may not have a Cummins-powered Jeep in my future) but never known anyone to do something with a 5 year old Tahoe.

 

Il will depend of the price the dealer will give me for this one on exchange.
It has 6 years, not 5 and will have 7 years when the 2014 will be there.
If i do the swap, it will be for avery day work, pulling the trailers like it does now.
But the cummins is too much heavy to be put in front of this truck I would need to put a 2500 suspension all around.It is not my project because I would like a diesel but keep the plushy ride of the original tahoe.
