Default 2005 engine rebuild wont start

I just rebuilt the motor, also put new injectors in. Won’t start. When I turn the key on the lift pump relay turns on and off and the lift pump runs constant. Also can’t get edge insight gauge set to install or cannot get scan tool to work. Any ideas would be great.

tried unplugging and reconnecting the connectors, did not help. The fuel pump relay just goes click click click constantly, also the cp3 pump is clicking, if i dissconnect the plug on the cp3 pump then the feul realy clicks at half the rate. Is this by chance how it purges the air? If so do i possiably have a leaking connector tube? But this still does not answer why i can not connect insite guage or scan tool.

Did you prefill the new fuel filter? Will take quit a bit of cranking if not, to fill the filter bowl. You could crack the lines at the injectors till you get fuel there.

solved the problem, had a ground wire in wrong place. But now i have a new problem truck starts and runs fine, however when it idles i loose oil pressure get error code P0524, not sure if it is the sensor, or another issue, i will have to get a manual guage and check it off the top of oil filter.

Glad you got it. I just rebuilt my brother in laws '07 5.9. Got it started, drove it, sent it home. The next day, those wonderful quick release tranny cooler lines blew off.....

2005DFS, What and where was your grounding issue? Im having the same issue after a rebuild LP relay just click constantly and The truck wont start. I installed a FASS and just wired a switch and relay in the cab. Im getting fuel at the cp3 and the rail but no start. Bad FCA? any help is great!

Merry Christmas, Chris
