Default Best Programer Available for CR

I have a 2003 cummins with a edge juice w/attitude progamer with the hot unlock. From reading on the forums this isnt the best programer for the CR trucks. I am wondering what programer would be the best to get to max the perfomance of the truck without alot of wrenching like injectors or turbo. Truck has a goerend trans so it can handle the power with an airdog 100 pump and turbo back exhaust with stacks. Should i just keep the programer i have and focus on turbo, intake, and other mods or is it worth it to buy a whole other programer setup. Is the edge really that bad? It claims 150hp on hot mode?

Smarty = do it yourself tune
EFI = Somebody else do it for you

Those are the best you decide!

Likely, you won't notice much difference between what you have and what you would buy without replacing hard parts...you won't see much return on the investment is what I'm getting at...I would focus on the hard parts, and worry about changing programmers later.

Ok yea that makes sense i just want some other opinions cus i get alot of people telling me that i should get a smarty or bullydog. Edge was about 1,100 i believe alltogether with the pillar mount and hot unlock years ago and i dont have many complaints on it i just wonder if i am really missing out on another brand with what everyone is telling me.

Your only real option is the Smarty......

The CTS monitor is nice for gauges/logging capabilities, but the smarty gives you way more versatility and options.

You won't be getting EFI Live anytime soon from the sounds of it.

What does the EFI Live work with the smarty? What screen can you match with it also?

Bully dog on a 03 PASS! Find a tst powermax r49 and stack it with a smarty or a smarty with any kind of pressure box. But yes EFI is a long ways away for 03-04 trucks...
