I've been doing a little research on this and that to make a bit more power on my cousins 7.3 Powerstroke...

Am i correct to assume that a 6.0 Intercooler will be a good mod on a 7.3 ??

Is there anything else that can be swapped out from a 6.0 truck ???

How hard is it to fit a 6.0 Intercooler in a 7.3 truck and how much difference will it make ???

 

What are you looking to do with the truck? A 7.3 intercooler does it's job just fine... You could throw a 6.0 intercooler in there but for what? It's not going to gain you much.

Not anything else I can think of that swaps from a 6.oh to a 7.3... Totally different motors...

 

it was just a though as we have a 6.0 we're tearing down... head gaskets are shut on it... so we're wondering what would interchange...

 

Nothing from the 6.0 is good or will work on the 7.3... The 6.0 IC is only slightly larger then the 7.3. Not to mention they (6.0IC) have plastic end tanks and most 7.3 ones are metal.

 

I believe the trans cooler is bigger on the 6.0 than that on a 7.3..... if its an auto, that is.

 

That is true. The tranny cooler is a good and common swap.

 

ok, it's a manual.... the 7.3 that is... how much would this part sell for ?
