Does any one know if its needed to replace the C5 when doing a trans rebuild. How much HP is the stock C5 good for? Thanks for the help!

 

I don't know but I say might as well upgrade while you have it torn apart. But then again there could be no need... I know, not much help.

 

See I wanna say its another 150 to 200 for the part and of course more in labor to halve it done. So I dont really want to do it if its not needed.

I just was looking for some one that knows how much hp the stock allison 6 speed C5 is good for and if it even needs to be replaced?

Not really needed, usually they don't go bad. Call a good trans builder and talk to them about it, usually unless they are trying to make mode money they will tell you the same thing
