Are you talling abou manual transmission flywheels or automatic ring gears the automatics use the same ring gear the 6.2 had a single mass flywheel while the 6.5 had the dual mass flywheel but one will work in the other but IMO the single mass flywheel is the way to go it's a good idea when shuting off the vehical that you hold in the clutch to keep it from kicking back on the engine.

Only some 6.5's came with a dual mass flywheel and the solid and dual mass flywheels are interchangeable between 6.5's,the difference is the solid flywheels trucks had a balancer on the trans output shaft for vibration-most who have switched do not complain without the balnacer.

Now to answer the OP's question, the bolt pattern on late 6.2's and all 6.5's are the same and interchangeable, the early 6.2's had a 2 piece rear main seal and a different crankshaft bolt pattern.
