I just recently purchased a HX35 off of my friend who has a 93 1st gen. I went to take my stock original H1C off yesterday and noticed that the exhaust housing on the HX wasnt going to line up with my exhaust. Its like it was missing a plate on the back to line up on the clamp with my 4" exhaust unlike the H1C where there is a lip built in to the housing. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated, i thought about swapping the exhaust housings on the two but didnt know how hard that would be. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

 

Yes you can swap the housing it's 4 bolts with around the housing and turbo body. There is a plate that bolts onto the stock 35 housing then the flange clamps on or bolts on there.

 

My HX35 was from an '02, so it had this long 45* flange/elbow thing. It had to go.

You can either get a plate from an earlier HX35, buy one from BD Power, or make one - like I did. I cut & drilled a piece of plate, and cut the v-band flange off an old downpipe and welded them together.
