Default Stock Suburban 6.5 Overboosting!?!?!?!?

Ok to today I made myself a boost fooler. 98" Suburban 6.5 turbo diesel... before I plugged it in I figured I should check boost on this to see what I add. Damn things reading well over 10psi already? I dont know how high it is ill find out tomorrow but my gauge only goes up to 10.5psi and it very easily pegged out so what the F???? Im sure over 14psi with how fast this pegged.

Vac. pumps fine Wastegate opens and closes smooth what would cause this?

I want more power and I was SOOOO excited to get more but now........ What do I do and why the hell is it that high???? They are suppose to be at 6-7psi stock right? But this sucks I was so excited to get more power but now Im most likely ganna loss some.............. PLEASE HELP ME i want more power not less.

P.S. Im really only interested in cheap power as i have a race car that takes my money...
Boost Fooler $3.68 i dont wanna send hundreds just yet

I would say check the calibration your boost gauge.
It is out of whack is the most likely situation.
