i have a 2004 2500 4x4. stator in tc broke so i purchased new tc from a guy that rebuilds them with all new internals billet parts and suppost to be heavy duty and not break. so i put the new tc in and had a leak coming from inside out of the bellhousing inspection plate. i pulled tranny again put new front seal in put new tc back in and still have the leak. does this mean that the guy gave me a tc with a leak or is their another problem? inspection plate off and truck runnig you can see fluid slinging out. front of tranny above seal is dry??

also did not have any leak at all before replacing with the new tc. now with new tc have the leak?
what is your input?? crappy new tc??

 

IMO all fingers point to the TC leaking. Take it out call the guy and send it back for a new one or to get your money back.

 

took it back he found a leak. didnt give money back but got it fixed and double checked before i left. put it in.. no leak. im good now.
