I just got a thunder 330 for my 2005 i got it put on and find out that the flange on the turbo and the flange on the exhaust that is on the truck are two different sizes. I dont know if the exhaust is stock or not i just bought it and rebuilt the motor and then am now havin to replace the turbo. The Industrial Injection website and several others says that the HX40DP3 downpipe will fit any phat shaft turbo that Industrial Injection makes, but the flange is half an inch smaller than the flange on the turbo. Can anyone please help me out by pointing out where I need to go at this point, my truck has already been down for 2 weeks and Im needing it back as soon as possible. Thanks

 

I think the 04.5-05 had the smaller downpipe. The thunder 330 bolted straight to mine its an 07 5.9. The short studs screw in closest to the motor to give clearence for the wasgate. You have to reuse the studs you unscrew out of the exhaust manifold on the outside with the old nuts. I used a small propane torch and a double nut technique to get mine out. I hope sum of this info was helpful and I think you'll really like the turbo.
