Why would a THM400 Transmission Vaccuum Regulator Valve (14057219) be on a 6.5 td? The truck was a 94 suburban and long story short a friend and I have put that motor in my 94. Both have mechanical injector pumps however this one has a vaccuum output on the TPS... I am officially mentally toasted and cannot look at this anymore. Any thoughts as to WHY it would be there would be appreciated. I intend to install a regular TPS and move on but....still...I will have nightmares wondering why it is there.

 

as best i know, the vacuum tps only came on the 6.2. but i can be way wrong.

true, my assumption was that the DB2 injector pump is off of a 6.2 and P.O started the process of modifying the motor to work that way. I am currently trying to rewire everything and make the system work. Need to get the correct throttle positioning sensor, an engine speed sensor, and a relay to fake engine shutoff solenoid circuit... oh and a transmission control module to run the transmission since the mechanical injector will not be providing the input to the PCM. All of that, some wire, and love and she shall drive again!
