6.5 turbo diesel boost gauge?

Default 6.5 turbo diesel boost gauge?

im looking to install a boost gauge in my 99 6.5 turbo diesel! i have a glow shift gauge allready i just dont know how to install it! if you could help me out that would be awesome

Yup real easy. Take off you upper intake plenum, drill a hole in it anywhere you feel comfortable on it that will fit the thread of the probe of the gauge usually a 1/8 pipe thread and you need a letter Q drill bit , tap it and then follow the hose to the gauge in the cab and your good to go.

That easy

ive also been told that i can tap into the waste gate hose? is this true? how about the electronic part of it! do i need and inline fuse? would it be easer to hook it to a toggle switch or to the fuse box?

No power needed because its mechanical only power is for the light. And I would just put it on intake manifold.

I just did mine on a 95 6.5, took maybe an hour. I just installed it right in the top center of the upper plenum. I also picked up a new gasket for about $6 bucks at my local Orileys. I tapped into the green wire coming from the headlight switch which is for the dimmer circuit.

what about the orange and yellow wires?
